IOPE Travel is a Romanian adventure travel company founded by Ioana Petric, creating curated small-group journeys around outdoor sports, nature, local culture and meaningful human connection. From Portugal and Mauritius to Raja Ampat and beyond, IOPE is built for people who want to experience a destination, not simply visit it.
I LIVED

SPOTLIGHT.
For 16 years, I lived in the spotlight — dancer, actress, TV presenter and storyteller.
On the outside, it all looked perfect. But behind the scenes, a different fire was burning.
I didn’t just want applause or the next big gig. I wanted wild movement and real connection. I wanted the kind of adrenaline that makes your heart pound for yourself — not for the cameras.
So I made myself a promise: see at least one new place every year.
Turns out, moderation isn’t really my thing.

Too many of us get very good at being responsible and accidentally forget to feel alive.
That’s where IOPE Travel came from.
I created IOPE as a Romanian adventure travel company for people who want more from travel than another hotel, another checklist and another photograph of somewhere beautiful.
I pour everything I love into these small-group journeys — outdoor sports, local culture, nature, ridiculous moments, new experiences and the kind of connection you can’t manufacture.
They’re not about luxury for the sake of luxury. They’re not about hardship for the sake of proving something either.
They’re about real places, real people and doing things that make you feel something again.
